Meet Branden

Branden grew up in the heart of rural Manitoba, just south of Portage la Prairie. Raised on a family farm, he learned the value of hard work from an early age. Whether it was helping his parents on the farm or tackling the challenges that come with rural life, Branden understood that every day was about building something that would last. His roots are deep in this land, and that’s exactly where his passion for rural Manitoba began.

Branden’s journey took him from the classrooms of Portage Collegiate Institute to the halls of Brandon University, and ultimately to Carleton University, where he earned his degree. Throughout his education, one thing was crystal clear: Branden was always going to fight for rural communities like his own. Now living in Portage la Prairie with his wife, Cailey, and their daughter, Maeve, and he’s more committed than ever to standing up for this region.

Branden served as an advisor in Stephen Harper’s government, tackling some of the most important issues facing our country. From getting tough on crime to protecting the rights of firearm owners and fiercely defending farmers, Branden was in the trenches, fighting for what he believed in. His next chapter brought him to the Grain Growers of Canada, where he didn’t just represent farmers, he led the charge against the Liberals’ disastrous carbon tax, a policy that is crippling farmers and those who live in our constituency.

For years, he watched the Liberal government implement their radical agenda that threatened the prosperity of rural communities. Branden saw how Ottawa was out of touch with the needs of the people in Portage-Lisgar, and he knew that standing on the sidelines was no longer an option. It was time to fight back.

On June 19, 2023, Branden was elected as the Member of Parliament for Portage-Lisgar. Since day one in Parliament, Branden has fought tirelessly for his constituents, standing up to the Liberals and their radical policies. From their reckless spending to their soft-on-crime agenda, Branden hasn’t backed down. He’s fought against their policies that put jobs and entire industries at risk, and he’s taken a stand against their attempts to erase Canada’s history.

But it’s not just about what Branden is fighting against. It’s about what he’s fighting for. Branden believes in a Canada where hard work is celebrated, not punished. A country where families can afford to put food on the table, keep their homes warm, and feel safe in their own communities. Unfortunately, under the current Liberal government, high taxes, inflation, and out-of-control spending have made it harder than ever for people to get ahead. Crime is on the rise, dangerous drugs are flooding our streets, and young people are growing disillusioned with the future. This isn’t the Canada we grew up in.

That’s why Branden is determined to change course. Alongside his fellow Conservative colleagues, he’s committed to restoring the promise of Canada. Together, they’ll build an economy that works for everyone, protect the safety and security of our streets, and ensure that families can thrive no matter where they live. They’ll stand up for Canadian sovereignty, rebuild our military, and give young people the hope they need to build a brighter future.

Branden doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. As your Member of Parliament, he works for every community in Portage-Lisgar with everything he’s got. Whether it’s battling for better healthcare, defending farmers, or standing up for our values in Ottawa, Branden is there, day in and day out, working on your behalf.

When he’s not on the front lines of politics, you’ll find Branden unwinding by playing sports or enjoying time with his family, because he knows that a strong community is built not just on policy, but on the relationships that bind us all together.

The fight for rural Manitoba isn’t over. It’s just beginning. And with Branden in Ottawa, you can be sure that your voice is being heard.
