Stop Trudeau's Drug Experiment
Since Justin Trudeau took office, opioid overdose deaths have skyrocketed by 166%.
Over 42,000 Canadians have died from drug overdoses under his radical experiment of decriminalizing hard drugs. This approach has failed, leading to chaos, crime, and disorder across Canada.
Vancouver’s streets show the devastating results: individuals contorted from fentanyl overdoses, tents lining the blocks, and the stench of neglect. But it’s not just the streets; our once-safe hospitals are now plagued by crime and drugs—meth being smoked near newborns and patients bringing weapons into
hospitals.
This experiment directly funds organized crime. Gangs are actively involved in the redistribution of so-called “safe supply,” bringing these substances to a wider audience. The money made from this redistribution is funneled into the purchase of even deadlier drugs and other criminal activities. Therefore, the true extent of the tragedies caused by the NDP-Liberal experiment is impossible to quantify.
As we witness the opioid crisis, rising crime, and the resurgence of tent cities across Canada, our communities that are located outside major metropolitan areas must be concerned. We are only one step away from this problem spreading further. If we allow this hard drug crisis to grow, it will spread everywhere.
Despite these horrible results, Trudeau refuses to rule out requests from other large municipalities to decriminalize hard drugs.
It’s time for a change. We must protect our kids, our communities, and our society.
A Poilievre government will crack down on crime and stop the revolving door of criminals through policies that put them in jail, not give them bail. This will bring home our loved ones drug-free, ensuring safer communities. The health and safety of our nation depend on action, and we will deliver just that.
